Credit unions are cooperative associations organized for the purpose of promoting thrift among members and creating a source of credit for provident and productive purposes.
Federal credit unions, like ours, are members of a nationwide system established by Congress. They are chartered by the National Credit Union Administration. Our credit union also has its own Supervisory Committee.
Your credit union does three things:
- Encourages and helps members to save regularly.
- Gives members a place where they may borrow for good purposes at fair interest rates.
- Advises members on how to use money wisely.
